In accordance with the order of Acting Chairman of Ali Majlis (Parliament) of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Anar Ibrahimov, the elections to the parliament of the autonomy are scheduled for 1 September 2024.

In light of the relevant decision of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the dissolution of Milli Majlis (National Parliament) and the appointment of parliamentary elections in the country on 1 September 2024, it seems appropriate to suggest that the elections to Ali Majlis (Parliament) should also be held in the autonomy.

In accordance with the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (Azerbaijan), the procedure of dissolution of the parliament of the autonomy is not envisaged. Therefore, the parliament of the autonomy will continue to function until the first session of the newly elected assembly.
