On 17 April, Deputy Chairman of the Ali Majlis (Supreme Assembly-Parliament) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Anar Ibrahimov met with Academician Asaf Hajiyev, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (PABSEC).

At the meeting, PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev provided detailed information on the organisation and stressed the importance of developing cooperation based on mutual interests in various fields. The Secretary General noted that the promotion of long-term and close cooperation in the Black Sea region, as well as the increase of economic activity in a number of relevant directions, is one of the priorities of the organisation.

Deputy Chairman of the Ali Majlis Anar Ibrahimov said that this year marks the 100th anniversary of autonomy in Nakhchivan, and at the same time the new development of the "State Programme on Social and Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", which was approved by the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, has laid the foundation of the stage.

Issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
