The Ali Majlis (Parliament) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has adopted the report of the Government of the Autonomy for 2023 at the 5th sitting of the Spring Session on 8 May 2024. At the beginning of the sitting, the Ali Majlis heard the opinions of the chairpersons of four parliamentary committees (Legal, Social, Economic and Humanitarian). The Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Jeyhun Jalilov, then presented the government's report to the parliament. Following the report, the head of government answered MPs' questions in detail. He also expressed his willingness to consider the proposals put forth by MPs in the future.

Deputy Chairman of Ali Majlis Anar Ibrahimov noted that this was an inaugural experience for the autonomy in terms of the government report and the entire process. He also highlighted that this activity could prove beneficial to the citizens of the autonomous republic in the long run. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of the main task set by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, which is to ensure transparency, a civic-oriented policy, accountability and responsibility. He went on to say that this first initiative will lay the foundation for future work, as a joint report of the parliament and the government to the citizens.

At the end of the sitting, the parliament approved the government's report by a majority vote.
